The Yonkers City Clerk's Office is the custodian of all vital records (birth, marriage, & death) recorded in the City of Yonkers. This office is also responsible for the issuance of Marriage Licenses, Burglar Alarm Permits, Towing Permits, and Dog Licenses. Certificates, Licenses, and Permits
PASSPORTS: In addition to the services listed above, our office includes a Passport Acceptance Facility in the historic Yonkers City Hall. This facility offers photos and guidance for a smooth process. Click here for more information: Passports

Hunting and Fishing licenses are also issued by this office on behalf of the New York State. Hunting and Fishing Licenses
The Yonkers City Clerk is an official appointed by the Yonkers City Council to a five (5) year term. The Deputy City Clerks are also appointed by the City Council. As the custodians of legislation, this office is responsible for scheduling and preparing council meetings as well as recording and tracking the official records of said meetings. Marriage Licenses: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
9:00 am to 3:30 pm
Tuesdays 9:00 am to 6:30 pm - Due to the high volume of applicants arriving during our extended hours, please arrive in our office no later than 6 p.m. to ensure we can complete the marriage license application before closing.
All other services: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Tuesdays 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
