Welcome to the Yonkers Purchasing Department webpage. The City of Yonkers and Yonkers Board of Education have combined, centralized procurement functions and the Purchasing Department is responsible for issuing all contracts and purchase orders for acquiring the goods and services that support each of these agencies' department. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely. We accomplish this by ensuring that all procurement actions are conducted fairly, impartially, and in accordance with all applicable City, state, and federal laws, and that all vendors have an equal opportunity to participate in City and Board of Education solicitations.
