The program is in effect from April 1st through October 31st of each year, seven days a week, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Signs have been posted in the area informing the public of the parking restrictions. The area is defined as "bounded by Harrison Avenue proceeding south from Tibbetts Brook Park to Alan B. Shepard Place; Tibbetts Road proceeding southerly from Tibbetts Brook Park to Alan B. Shepard Place; Sedgewick Avenue proceeding southerly from Tibbetts Brook Park to Alan B. Shepard Place; Jervis Road between Harrison Avenue and Sedgewick Avenue and from the northern intersection of Sedgewick Avenue proceeding southerly along Jervis Road to the Alan B. Shepard Place line." § 109-128 of the City Code of the City of Yonkers set the parking permit fee at $5.00 for Yonkers residents and $10.00 for non-Yonkers residents. 20 percent of the parking spaces (50 permits) must be made available to nonresidents of the designated Tibbetts Brook Park permit area.  Nonresident permits are issued on a first come, first served basis.

To receive a residential parking permit, residents of the area and non-residents of the area who are residents of Yonkers must submit $5.00 for each permit along with a copy of the vehicle's registration and a completed Request for Residential Parking Permit form; non-residents of Yonkers must submit $10.00 for each permit along with a copy of the vehicle's registration and a completed Request for Residential Parking Permit form. You may mail the required fee and forms to the Parking Violations Bureau (PVB) at the above address or you may come in person.

The PVB is located at 87 Nepperhan Avenue 2nd Floor, adjacent to City Hall. Parking is available in the Government Center Garage. The PVB is open Monday through Friday 8:30am until 4:00pm ONLY and closed all legal holidays.  In addition, non-residents of the area permits will be accepted on a first come first served basis. If mailed, the PVB will use the official Postal mailing date; if submitted in person, the date submitted will be used. Any request for permits from non-residents which are received once the 20% has been reached will be returned to the applicant with their fee. No permit applications will be accepted prior to March of the year for which the application is being submitted.

Any incomplete requests will be returned

Please be sure to have a copy of the registration for the vehicle which will display the permit decal.  Permits will not be given to anyone without their vehicle registration.
