As per Section 65-12 of the Yonkers City Code, with the exception of guide dogs, hearing dogs or service dogs accompanying a person with a disability as defined in Section 1310 of the NYS Public Health Law, it shall be the duty of each dog and animal owner to remove any feces left by his or her dog on any sidewalk, gutter, street or other public area within the City of Yonkers. A violation of § 65-12 shall be a Class III and up to $1,500.
