Our Parks, Recreation and Conservation Citizen Board is served by seven citizens appointed by the Mayor, and provides the Department with additional input as to the interests in, and values of Parks, Recreation and Conservation. The Board meets monthly in order to review recommendations for long range plans pertaining to program facility development and parkland acquisition.

Parks Board Procedure
Meeting of the Whole
7:00pm (Open to the Public)
People wishing to address the Board must call at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. Requests must include the name and address of the speaker, the organization, firm, corporation, or person in whose behalf he or she is appearing, and the subject matter about which he or she wishes to speak. The subject matter must be related to an agenda item to be discussed at the Parks Board meeting. Each speaker will be limited to three (3) minutes. Speakers must provide their name, street address, and municipality, and then identify the agenda item that will be discussed. Requests may be made to Laura Boatswain at 914-377-6429. No speakers are allowed during the Parks Board meeting itself.
Parks Board Meetings
Parks Board Meetings will be held at 7:30pm.
People who wish to make a presentation to the Board must notify the Parks Department in writing, one (1) week prior to the meeting they wish to attend. Please address all requests to Laura Boatswain c/o Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation, 285 Nepperhan Avenue, Yonkers, New York 10701.
Requests must include the name and address of the speaker, the organization, firm, corporation, or person in whose behalf he or she is appearing, and the subject matter of the presentation. The presentation must be germane to matters within the purview of the Parks Board.
