Case: Homicide - Louise Paciarello
Location: 45 Seymour Street: 1E, Yonkers

On August 22, 2007 at 1800 hours the Yonkers Police Department responded to 45 Seymour Street: Apartment 1E on a report of a fire. Upon arrival at 45 Seymour Street, which is a senior citizen complex, the Fire Department found the occupant of the apartment, who was later identified as 78 Year Old Louise Paciarello, in what appeared to be a lifeless condition. Ms. Paciarello was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital where she was pronounced. Ms. Paciarello was transported to the Westchester Medical Examiner’s Office where it was determined that Ms. Paciarello’s death was not due to the fire but that her death was the result of a homicide and the fire was deliberately set to cover up the homicide. Ms. Paciarello was a 78 year old retired nurse’s aide who lived by herself and kept to herself. The Yonkers Police Cold Case Unit is asking if there is anyone with any information in regards to this case that they should contact the Cold Case Unit at 914-377-7731.
Case: Homicide - Lavern Billy Pinckney
Location: 330 Midland Avenue, Yonkers
Date: August 30, 2004

Mr. Pinckney was 60 years old and married to his wife Betty, they have three grown children. Mr. Pinckney worked two jobs. He was a driver at Yonkers General Hospital, who transported patients to and from an alcohol treatment program. Mrs. Pinckney stated that her husband owned a bar with two other partners on Ravine Avenue. Mr. Pinckney on the day of his homicide worked at Yonkers General Hospital and returned home sometime in the early afternoon. Mrs. Pinckney came home approximately at 4:15 p.m. and when she entered her apartment she found her husband lying on the living room floor unconscious. Mrs. Pinckney ran outside of the apartment screaming and her neighbor called the police. Mr. Pinckney died of blunt force trauma.
Case: Homicide - Laurie McKissick
Location: Opposite 585 Bronx River Road
Date: June 10, 1999
Time: 3:17 pm
Ms. McKissick was a 17 year old female who was a runaway from a Bronx group home. Her mother and father were separated and her mother lived in Brooklyn. Ms. McKissick did keep in contact with her mother, Ms. McKissick also did not like living at the group home in the Bronx. Her friends stated that she met an older male from Yonkers. She was found on June 10, 1999 in the woods opposite 585 Bronx River Road at approximately 3:17 p.m. by a person walking there dog. Ms. McKissick did not have any shoes on and her shirt and bra were pushed up by her neck exposing her chest. Ms. McKissick was last seen alive earlier that morning. She was standing in front of a red van arguing with a black male. The red van was stopped with the passenger side door open facing southbound on the northbound side of the road opposite 585 Bronx River Road. This was the last time Ms. McKissick was seen alive.
Case: Homicide - Frederick Pagliaro
Location: Caryl Avenue Parking Lot
Date: September 17, 1998
Time: 4:43 am
Mr. Pagliaro was not married and a father of one child. He worked as a cab driver and also liked to play pool. On the night of his homicide he was with a female companion. They were standing outside of her vehicle in the parking lot of Caryl Avenue in Yonkers. An unknown male came running up on the couple and started shooting. The female jumped into the car and drove off. Mr. Pagliaro started running southbound in the parking lot towards Caryl Avenue, with the unknown male running after him and still shooting. Mr. Pagliaro collapsed in the parking lot with numerous bullet wounds. Mr. Pagliaro died a short time later at Saint Joseph’s Hospital.
Case: Homicide - David Keels
Location: Opposite 77 Ravine Avenue
Date: February 7, 1997
Time: 1:31 am
Mr. Keels was 60 years old at the time of his murder. He was married and a father of three grown children. He worked as a school bus driver during the day and he owned a bar on Warburton Avenue which he worked during the evenings. The bar was called Bo Dicks. On the day of his murder Mr. Keels worked as a bus driver then worked at his bar. After closing the bar and going for a drive in his van he parked his van on Ravine Avenue opposite 77 Ravine Avenue. Mr. Keels exited his van and was walking northbound on Ravine Avenue when he was approached by an unknown male who shot him dead. This unknown male then entered the passenger side of a waiting vehicle which drove off going southbound on Ravine Avenue.
Case: Homicide - Nusinaida Ramos
Location: 98 Colin Street
Date: March 10, 1997
Time: 12:18 pm
On Monday March 10, 1997, a 34 year old hispanic female, Nusinaida Ramos, was found dead in her apartment at 98 Colin Street, Yonkers. The victim was separated and the mother of two young children. The victim was found beaten to death in her apartment by the Yonkers Police Department. The victim was last seen alive in the afternoon hours on Sunday March 9, 1997. Attempts were made by her family to contact her on Sunday March 9, 1997 during the evening hours which were made with negative results. The family became concerned when they were unable to make contact with her on Monday March 10, 1997. The family then contacted the police who responded to the victims apartment where they found her dead. There was no evidence of a forced entry and there was no evidence of a robbery.
Case: Homicide - Loretta Melendez
Location: 17 Morgan Street
Date: June 26, 1992
Time: 4:48 am
Mrs. Melendez was a divorced mother of four children. She was unemployed and on the date of her murder and last seen on Morgan Street in Yonkers with a female friend. She was later found at 4:48 am shot in the head in front of 17 Morgan Street. A male who was on his way to see his girlfriend at 55 School Street found Mrs. Melendez lying in the street in a lifeless condition. This male then went to School Street where he contacted the police.
